If you use Choose folder, your browser may call it an upload. The files still stay on your computer.
You can also drag files or folders anywhere on this page. Files are read in this browser tab and never uploaded. In a controls folder, only controller profiles are opened; everything else, including your logbook, is skipped after checking its first few bytes. Assistance options aren't included because the sim keeps them in its synced save data rather than a readable file.
